CLIMB FOR SUDAN
Every Step Gives Healthcare, Food and Hope!
In January 2025, a dedicated UMR team, including COO Muhieldin Salih and UMR Kenya Board members, will embark on a hard and challenging climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in Africa. This nine-day journey, with temperatures ranging from 85°F to -20°F, symbolizes the daily struggles faced by millions of Sudanese affected by conflict, hunger, and disease.
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has created a devastating humanitarian crisis. Over 18 million people have been displaced, with millions facing severe hunger, illness, and disease. The health system has nearly collapsed, leaving 17 million people without access to basic medical care and nutrition.
UMR's Emergency Response UMR is on the ground delivering life-saving aid, including medical kits for over 50,000 people each month and 1.7 million meals to vulnerable families.
Through this tough and challenging climb of Kilimanjaro UMR hopes to inspire you to join us as a donor. Together, we can bring hope and relief to Sudan.
